Artificial Grass For Cats and Dogs
Not only can synthetic grass be used confidently for children to play on, but it is also suitable for the family pet whether it be a cat or a dog. There is no problem in replacing the lawn with artificial grass where pets are concerned in fact they seem to take to it extremely well.
There are many situations in which pet centers such as indoor training facilities and pet shelters have moved entirely to using synthetic grass as their preferred surface. They are easy to clean and they will ensure that your pet will remain clean of dirt and grime too. It will also remove the possibility of one of the dogs or cats from suffering through a grass allergy, something that is more common than we give credit to.
In the family home you can be confident in the fact that your dog or cat will actually prefer using the artificial grass area, if you choose to go for a half and half approach. The surface will be softer and more conducive to the animal’s paws. Not only that but it will make a very comfortable place for the dogs and cats to do their lazing around.
Naturally there will be the question of cleaning up the pet droppings, but this will be a task that is very similar to cleaning up on a natural grass lawn. The only difference will be to wash down the lawn on a regular basis to avoid a build up of odor. Because the length of the grass will always remain the same you won’t be facing the problem of finding droppings among the longer grass if it hasn’t been cut for a while, thus avoiding those rather nasty surprises.
To further avoid health problems many pet grasses have been made with antimicrobial protection built in to the grass. The grass is also made with a fine mesh backing so that it drains as readily as real grass and so much of the waste will be absorbed into the ground.
There are many ways we can treat our pets to a little dose of luxury and giving them a synthetic grass surface is one of those ways.
